We had a wonderful family week at the house.

The “Blue Heron Lakehouse” is aptly named (there us a Blue Heron that visits every morning) and the home was beautiful and very clean. The home was beautiful inside and out and the outdoor spaces were perfect. Our kids loved the hot tub and being right on the lake allowed for constant swims from the dock. Our family was with us and the adults enjoyed the lower patio area with hot tub, fire pit, grill, and plenty of seating. Inside there was plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was stocked with anything you can think of for cooking or entertaining. Brian and Leslie were fantastic hosts and gave us a full, quick tour at check-in and made themselves available for anything we needed during our stay. Communication before and after was also great. We had a wonderful family week at the house and just wish we could have stayed longer. I certainly recommend this location if you are looking for a beautiful lake front property to take a large family or a few families for a getaway.

The setting is Idyllic

The Blue Heron Lake House is spectacular! The setting is idyllic and was perfect for hosting a barbeque and small open house for close family and friends who had come to our son's wedding. We were fortunate to have fabulous weather allowing for lots of swimming and playing in the lake! Morning shoreline swims after coffee on the main floor balcony overlooking the lake were very special. Cool mornings were ideal for some hot tub time, and wine on the dock as the sun set was a treasured time! We had a group ages 1 to 92 years old and all enjoyed the stay immensely! Brian and Leslie were great hosts and their home is so very special!

Our stay could not have been better

Our extended family traveled to Seattle from new York to attend the MLB All-Star Game and Home Run Derby, and to celebrate the 1st birthday of my granddaughter who lives in Sammamish. We had 8 adults and 2 children (ages 1 and 4) staying in the house and our Seattle part of the family joined us during the day. The house fit us perfectly - very clean and well stocked on arrival. It was a most welcome surprise when Brian and Leslie told us they would supply us with highchairs, pack and plays, and a baby gate for the stairs. They even went and bought a stroller for our use so we did not have to schlep one out from New York. That’s REAL service. Our stay could not have been better, and we will definitely make the Lakehouse our first choice on our next family trip to the Pacific Northwest. PS, the weather was also perfect!!

We will be back for a future stay!

My family and now husband enjoyed our stay at Brian and Leslie's home! It was only the 6 of us so it was more than enough room for us during our 4-night stay. We would like to thank Leslie and Brian for allowing us to use their home and beautiful outdoor space to elope. We ended up using the deck space near the water for our very short and intimate ceremony to capture the beautiful lake and greenery. We will be back for a future stay!! Thank you for everything!

Perfect family stay

I have been looking at this house on VRBO for that last 4 years, ever since my daughter decided to go to school In Seattle. I finally had a large enough group for graduation. It was worth the wait. The home was exactly what I hoped for. It felt like a home away from home the minute we walked in. The location on the lake is incredible. Maybe the best part though is that it might be the most well equipped home I have ever rented. I wanted a place where our family and friends could hang out and enjoy our time together. We made dinner at the home almost every night. There are a lot of great restaurants around, but having family time and dinners at the home was the best part. There is an incredible outside spot by the lake to eat. And if the weather is a little off the table inside is also awesome. Another cool thing about this home is it's close to a lot of great places to visit. Bellevue, Kirkland, and Woodinville are fun places to see just to name a few. The owners are great to deal with. I booked about 6 months out and bugged them with questions the whole time. I received responses almost immediately every time. The bottom line is this is probably the best home in the Seattle area to rent for a family/group that wants to enjoy hanging out together. The pictures do not do it justice. The home and the owners created one of the best family experiences we have ever had. We had a trip we will never forget!

A memorable week

Our family had a wonderful time at the Blue Heron Lakehouse. Brian and Leslie greeted us upon arrival and were helpful in getting us oriented to the house and surrounding area. They were proactive in checking in to ensure we enjoyed our stay. This place has refined the art of meaningful gatherings. And we feel so grateful to have found memories from a week of fun, laughter, and great company.

Most beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed in!

Immaculate kitchen, impressively well stocked with stainless steel cookware, lots of dishwashers, and thoughtfully appointed throughout from bedding to beach towels. Loved the direct access to the lake and our own dock to sit on. Thank you Leslie and Brian!

Fantastic stay!

We used this house as a gathering place for a family reunion of 25-30. Brian went out of his way to make sure we understood heating, sound, and all the appliances. There are many spaces to congregate, inside and out. The garden is beautifully planted. We would sit in the hot tub for hours, entertained by hummingbirds, kingfishers, herons, bald eagles, stellar's jays, mallard ducks, and the occasional rabbits. Both kitchens are well equipped. We had no trouble cooking and serving everyone. The location is perfect for everything on the Eastside: restaurants, shopping, parks, and easy access to both 520 and I-90. We plan to return!

Pictures can’t begin to describe the beauty of this home.

I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone that plans to visit Washington.

Having been my first trip to Washington, I couldn’t imagine finding a more perfect home to spend a week with three generations of my family. Whether kayaking, sitting at the end on the dock or in the Great room overlooking the lake, the scenery and wildlife offer the ideal atmosphere for total relaxation and perfect harmony. The spacious rooms and ideal amenities made the stay feel like being home. The hosts are amazing, very attentive to your needs, will accommodate reasonable requests, and offer points of area interests to make your stay more than perfect in every way.

This experience was hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed in!

Brian and Leslie’s home is a private resort with lots of activities and amenities in addition to their beautiful home and great location! It was perfect for our friend’s birthday celebration! We came from Denver, Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California and Issaquah. We enjoyed all the well-thought-out spaces and waking up to the gorgeous water views. The location was an easy distance to Woodinville for wine tasting, Bellevue restaurants, shopping and nightlife, the Seattle Ferry terminal to Bainbridge and Pike Place Market. We made some great memories on this trip! As much as we wanted to sightsee, we also wanted to spend the day relaxing at the property, because it is truly a gem! Leslie was always available for any questions we had and always had a resolution. This experience was hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed in!

We cannot thank you enough for a magical vacation.

Your home is truly breathtaking in every way! From the moment we stepped inside we were mesmerized by the natural beauty that surrounds and the luxury amenities this home provided. We are still speechless by the meal you prepared for us upon arrival … the salmon and halibut perfectly executed by Brian and Leslie’s homemade blackberry pie…chef’s kisses all around. Our kids swam and fished practically every day and one of our greatest and fondest memories will be the nightly star-gazing August 2022

What a dreamy spot to vacation!

The boat house, patios, hot tub and outdoor seating create a resort ambiance. Leslie is a wonderful host! Our family stay at Brian and Leslie's Blue Heron Lakehouse was extraordinary. The property and the house are loaded with every amenity and fastidiously clean. What a dreamy spot to vacation! The kitchen, boathouse, and card room are stocked with sparkling clean and new cookware and glassware. The house has all the cooking tools you might seek, including a pasta strainer to go with the All-Clad cookware. The Northwest vibe and love of the land is emphasized through the subtle surprises such as the organic bath amenities and even the laundry soap. Leslie encouraged us to pick the ripe vegetables that were in season during our stay. We were able to snack on organic sugar snap peas and eat fresh peas. We lounged out on the dock and launched the kayaks many times. Saw a bald eagle circle repeatedly then suddenly swoop down to snatch a fish out of Lake Sammamish. One night as I was returning down the lit stairs to the front of the house, I heard a brief rustle in the hillside leaves. Was surprised to see a raccoon scamper up a tree. This is a fabulous retreat that we hope to return to again and again.

One year after our wedding at this wonderful house and setting!

This time Jim and I were able to just sit and enjoy the mesmerizing scenery and wildlife. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and kayaks and again roasting s’mores outside the Boathouse with friends and family. The work you did to the house this last year is wonderful, especially the water feature outside, the air conditioning and the new layout of the boathouse. Enjoy your next year and we'll see you again next summer!
