Fantastic stay!

We used this house as a gathering place for a family reunion of 25-30. Brian went out of his way to make sure we understood heating, sound, and all the appliances. There are many spaces to congregate, inside and out. The garden is beautifully planted. We would sit in the hot tub for hours, entertained by hummingbirds, kingfishers, herons, bald eagles, stellar's jays, mallard ducks, and the occasional rabbits. Both kitchens are well equipped. We had no trouble cooking and serving everyone. The location is perfect for everything on the Eastside: restaurants, shopping, parks, and easy access to both 520 and I-90. We plan to return!

Pictures can’t begin to describe the beauty of this home.

I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone that plans to visit Washington.

Having been my first trip to Washington, I couldn’t imagine finding a more perfect home to spend a week with three generations of my family. Whether kayaking, sitting at the end on the dock or in the Great room overlooking the lake, the scenery and wildlife offer the ideal atmosphere for total relaxation and perfect harmony. The spacious rooms and ideal amenities made the stay feel like being home. The hosts are amazing, very attentive to your needs, will accommodate reasonable requests, and offer points of area interests to make your stay more than perfect in every way.

This experience was hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed in!

Brian and Leslie’s home is a private resort with lots of activities and amenities in addition to their beautiful home and great location! It was perfect for our friend’s birthday celebration! We came from Denver, Las Vegas, Reno, Southern California and Issaquah. We enjoyed all the well-thought-out spaces and waking up to the gorgeous water views. The location was an easy distance to Woodinville for wine tasting, Bellevue restaurants, shopping and nightlife, the Seattle Ferry terminal to Bainbridge and Pike Place Market. We made some great memories on this trip! As much as we wanted to sightsee, we also wanted to spend the day relaxing at the property, because it is truly a gem! Leslie was always available for any questions we had and always had a resolution. This experience was hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed in!

We love your home!

This place has it all! We felt spoiled. What a spectacular place to stay! The house and boathouse are perfectly appointed with whatever you might need during your stay. The house is beautiful. The outside living space is a dream! Lush landscaping, stream with waterfall, ample seating areas, dock where you can jump into the lake, fun beach area with kayaks...truly amazing, especially for kids!! Brian & Leslie are caring, gracious hosts, available anytime. They made our stay here even more special. It was a perfect spot for our family. We look forward to next time!

We cannot thank you enough for a magical vacation.

Your home is truly breathtaking in every way! From the moment we stepped inside we were mesmerized by the natural beauty that surrounds and the luxury amenities this home provided. We are still speechless by the meal you prepared for us upon arrival … the salmon and halibut perfectly executed by Brian and Leslie’s homemade blackberry pie…chef’s kisses all around. Our kids swam and fished practically every day and one of our greatest and fondest memories will be the nightly star-gazing August 2022

What a dreamy spot to vacation!

The boat house, patios, hot tub and outdoor seating create a resort ambiance. Leslie is a wonderful host! Our family stay at Brian and Leslie's Blue Heron Lakehouse was extraordinary. The property and the house are loaded with every amenity and fastidiously clean. What a dreamy spot to vacation! The kitchen, boathouse, and card room are stocked with sparkling clean and new cookware and glassware. The house has all the cooking tools you might seek, including a pasta strainer to go with the All-Clad cookware. The Northwest vibe and love of the land is emphasized through the subtle surprises such as the organic bath amenities and even the laundry soap. Leslie encouraged us to pick the ripe vegetables that were in season during our stay. We were able to snack on organic sugar snap peas and eat fresh peas. We lounged out on the dock and launched the kayaks many times. Saw a bald eagle circle repeatedly then suddenly swoop down to snatch a fish out of Lake Sammamish. One night as I was returning down the lit stairs to the front of the house, I heard a brief rustle in the hillside leaves. Was surprised to see a raccoon scamper up a tree. This is a fabulous retreat that we hope to return to again and again.

One year after our wedding at this wonderful house and setting!

This time Jim and I were able to just sit and enjoy the mesmerizing scenery and wildlife. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub and kayaks and again roasting s’mores outside the Boathouse with friends and family. The work you did to the house this last year is wonderful, especially the water feature outside, the air conditioning and the new layout of the boathouse. Enjoy your next year and we'll see you again next summer!

Your hospitality was top-notch!

Your home and hospitality were the perfect combination for our summer family vacay! We have had the best week exploring and following Leslie's itinerary and food recommendations. Some of our favorites were Olympic National Park, Hoh Rainforest, Ruby Beach, Deception Falls and the German village at Leavenworth. The waffle cones at Whistlepunk were probably the best we've ever had (and we are ice cream lovin’ family)! We saw the Mariners beat the Red Sox Saturday night. The atmosphere at the game was so fun, and Gus [the great blue heron] hung around most of the week. We have enjoyed watching him and the boating on the lake. Again ,your hospitality was top notch! Back to wild wonderful West Virginia we go.

This is truly a magical place.

Thank you for sharing Blue Heron Lakehouse with us! This is truly a magical place. You are both extraordinary hosts, and the loving attention given to each and every detail in this home is beyond measure. Our favorite part of this trip was simply sitting in various places around the property and enjoying the spectacular garden and all the wildlife that visits it. We are avid birdwatchers and were thrilled to discover some of the best birdwatching we’ve ever experienced from the living room window. We look forward to our next visit!
